A cousin chart is helpful in identifying the degree of cousin relationship between two individuals using their most recent common ancestor as the reference point. How to use the chart:
1. Across the top row find the common ancestors’ relationship to you. (your column)
2. In the left hand column find the common ancestors’ relationship to the other individual. (their row)
3. Where your column and the other individuals row intersect, it shows your relationship to the other individual.
