Alphabetical List Cemetery Inscriptions Wedges Prairie is a name which refers to a large expanse of prairie in Section 3 of the township of Waupun. In 1844 Salmon Wedge brought his family to Wisconsin and acquired farm land at that time. He sold land to the Congregational Church of Springvale. The church is gone, but Wedges Prairie Cemetery remains. One descendant of the Randall Family, visited this cemetery in 2002, and has shared her photos and data on this cemetery. Chester Hazen is credited with opening the first cheese factory in the State of Wisconsin, and his tombstone reflects the 'Rising Sun', trademark of his factory. |
