This cute postcard is a part of the Danbury history.
It is unknown who's outhouse this is, but chances are
very likely that many of our ancestors used similar
facilities. The poem at the bottom of this card reads:

Beneath the spreading white birch tree
     The weathered outhouse stands,
A sanctuary where you're free
     From labor's harsh demands.
Of all the city's luxuries,
     Tile, porcelain and chrome,
None satisfies and gives sweet ease
     Like that fragrant shack back home.
