"Gustaf Larson (1829-1914) and Johanna
Andersdotter (1838-1901) were born and
married
in the Monktorp area of Westmanland,
Sweden
.......Married in 1867, emigrated the
fall of 1868,
and spent some time in Chicago, from
where Gustaf
with four other men walked all the way
to Burnett
Co., Wis., arriving in Feb.,1869.
Their wives came
by train (possibly as far as Rush
City) and joined them
in the spring of 1869."
