Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the archive.org Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history.

History is littered with hundreds of conflicts over the future of a community, group, location or business that were "resolved" when one of the parties stepped ahead and destroyed what was there. With the original point of contention destroyed, the debates would fall to the wayside. Archive Team believes that by duplicated condemned data, the conversation and debate can continue, as well as the richness and insight gained by keeping the materials. Our projects have ranged in size from a single volunteer downloading the data to a small-but-critical site, to over 100 volunteers stepping forward to acquire terabytes of user-created data to save for future generations.

The main site for Archive Team is at archiveteam.org and contains up to the date information on various projects, manifestos, plans and walkthroughs.

This collection contains the output of many Archive Team projects, both ongoing and completed. Thanks to the generous providing of disk space by the Internet Archive, multi-terabyte datasets can be made available, as well as in use by the Wayback Machine, providing a path back to lost websites and work.

Our collection has grown to the point of having sub-collections for the type of data we acquire. If you are seeking to browse the contents of these collections, the Wayback Machine is the best first stop. Otherwise, you are free to dig into the stacks to see what you may find.

The Archive Team Panic Downloads are full pulldowns of currently extant websites, meant to serve as emergency backups for needed sites that are in danger of closing, or which will be missed dearly if suddenly lost due to hard drive crashes or server failures.

Mary or Maria Wildamina or Margaretta or Wildimine PULS was b. 11 Oct 1866 in Sterling, WI to parents Johann or Joachim Christian Theodore PULS (1827-1897) and Christina or Christiana or Christine Frances FUEGEL or TUEGEL or TUGAL and she married Alexander Wilson MITCHELL (1869-1942) on 14 Nov 1890 or 1893 in Coeur D’Alene, ID or Sprague, WA. The couple had 5 children including Isadia May or Mae; John Alexander; Goldie Isabelle or Isabel; Charles Telford or Tolford; and Jessie Anne MITCHELL, all born between 1892 and 1904. Mary died 23 Jan 1951 in Spokane, WA and she is buried in the Oroville Riverview Cemetery in Oroville, WA.

Alexander Wilson MITCHELL Was b. 12 Apr 1868 in Dunfermline, Scotland to parents John MITCHELL and Isabelle WILSON. Alexander was their only child.

Jessie Anne MITCHELL was b. 14 Aug 1904 in Sprague, WA to parents Alexander Wilson MITCHELL (1869-1942) and Mary Wildamina PULS (1866-1951). Jessie married Aaron K. MARTIN (1902-1981) on 12 Apr 1924 in Okanogan County, WA and they had two children, Shirley T. MARTIN (b. 1925) and Fred A. MARTIN (b. 1927). Jessie died 3 Apr 1995 in Spokane, WA.

Goldie Isabel MITCHELL was b. 1 Feb 1898 in Washington to the same parents and married Cecile Edward THAYER (1894-1960) on 30 May 1917 in Okanogan County, WA and she died 5 Mar 1976 in Seattle, WA.

Charles Telford MITCHELL was b. 23 Jan 1900 in Lincoln County, WA to the same parents and married Edyth or Edith Aretta SCHAFFER (1892-1949). Charles died 15 May 1954 in San Francisco, CA.

Isadia May MITCHELL was b. 21 Feb 1892 in Washington to the same parents and married Esli or Eslie Er HADEN (1890-1963) on 25 Nov 1914 in Spokane, WA and they had three children including Wallace Esli HADEN (1915-1920) and Donald Elbur or Elber HADEN (1921-2003) and Lila Mae HADEN (1925-2020). Isadia died 5 Jun 1987 in Davenport, WA and she is buried in the Wilbur Cemetery in Wilbur, WA.

Inez E. PULS was b. 26 Jan 1896 in Waukon, WA to parents James R. PULS (b. 1867) and Mary WEIPERT (b. 1869). Inez had two siblings, Mabel Alice PULS (b. 1905) and Vernerd PULS (b. 1907). Inez married John Byron or Wesley BUCHANAN (1893-1983) and they had two children including Ruby L. BUCHANAN (1915-2008) and Mary Kathryn BUCHANAN (1917-2004). Inez died 14 Jan 1986 in San Diego, CA.

Frank “Frankie” H. PULS was b. 4 Jun 1894 in Missouri to the same parents and died 23 Mar 1907 and is buried in the Reardan Cemetery in Reardan, WA.

Mary Theresia WEIPERT was b. 12 Oct 1868 in St. Joseph, MO to parents Sebastian Ambrose WEIPERT (1823-1908) and Maria WIEDMAIER or WEIDMAIER (1824-1870). Mary was one of 7 children born to this couple including George William; Bartholomew Bartley: Mary Magdalena; Antone; Joseph, Jacob; Christian; and Mary Theresia WEIPERT, all born between 1851 and 1868. After her mother died her father remarried and one additional child was born, Mary Magdelene “Lena” WEIPERT (b. 1879).

Mary was married to James Reinhart PULS (1869-1944) in 1892 or 1893, and they had four children including Frank “Frankie” H.; Inna; Mabel Alice; and James Vernerd “Vern” PULS, all born between 1894 and 1906. Mary died 29 Apr 1955 in Spokane, WA and she is buried in the Reardan Cemetery in Reardan, WA.

James Reinhart PULS was b. 17 Mar 1869 in West Prairie, WI to parents Johann Christian PULS (1827-1897) and Christiana TUEGEL (1829-1906). James was one of 7 children born to this couple including Caroline or Karolina Marie Duerta; Mary W. (detailed above); John Frederick; Anna Marie or Maria Louisa Doretta; James Reinhart; and George Ulrich or Ulrik PULS, all born between 1853 and 1873. James and Mary’s children are all identified above. James died 9 Jan 1944 in Spokane, WA and he is also buried in the Reardan Cemetery.
