Mrs. Fred Zantow Passes Away
Mrs. Fred Zantow, 81, of Route 1, Baraboo, passed away Wednesday afternoon at St. Mary’s Ringling hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Zantow was a life long resident of this locality and a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Her husband, the late Senator Fred W. Zantow, had passed away in November, 1934, just after his re-election to a third term as state senator.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Edna) Burkhalter, and Mrs. Sylvan (Cecelia) Ziegler, and Mrs. Wayne (Myrtie) Hatz, all of Baraboo, four sons, Albert of Baraboo, Evan of west Salem, Fred of Stillwater, Minn., and Forrest of Baraboo. 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Zantow will be held on Saturday morning at 11 at the Hanson Funeral Home with Rev. E. Morris officiating. Burial will be in the Sumpter Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening from 7 to 9.
