Baraboo News Republic Monday, 15, May 1961, page 5 Mrs. Mary Wing Dies Sunday Mrs. Mary Wing, 76, of Baraboo, passed away Sunday at St. Mary's Ringling Hospital. She had been in failing health for sometime, but became seriously ill Friday when she was taken to the hospital. A resident of Baraboo most of her life, she was a member of the Congregational church and the ladies societies of the church. She was the widow of Clarence Wing. Throughout her life, Mrs. Wing maintained a high standard of devotion to her family and community. Her chief interests were her church, books and raising flowers. Surviving are three sons, Frank of Madison, Gordon of Eau Claire, and Charles of Jefferson; a daughter, Mrs. Norman Astle of Marshall; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Howard of Baraboo, Mrs. Marion Douglas of Adams, and Mrs. Margaret Pierce of Madison; two brothers, Ben Koons of Madison and Frank of Adams; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Wing will be held on Tuesday a 2 p.m. at the First Congregational church with Rev. A.W. Kauffman officiating. Burial will be made in Walnut Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the Scheible Funeral Home this evening from 7 to 9. Mrs. Wing will be taken to the church at noon Tuesday where friends may call. Memorials may be made to the church.
