Antigo Daily Journal Antigo, Wisconsin Saturday, 25 February 1961 Pearse Sansum Dies in Antigo Pearse Sansum, 77, of Baraboo, Wis., died last night at the Langlade County Memorial hospital after a short illness. For the past two weeks he had been a guest here of his daughter, Mrs. Arthur Schrader. 1414 Seventh avenue, Antigo. Mr. Sansum, who was retired, was a poultry processor and butcher for the Kroger food stores for 30 years. He was born March 15, 1883, in the town of Baraboo, Sauk county. His wife, the former Maud Koons to whom he was married in 1904, died in March of 1950. He was a member of Baraboo Masonic Lodge No. 34. Surviving besides Mrs. (Elizabeth) Schrader is a son Roy of Baraboo and three sisters, Mrs. Martindale and Mrs. Mary Fellows, both of Baraboo, and Mrs. Henry Engleking of Lanark, Ill. A son, Sergeant Harry Sansum was killed in military action in Holland in 1944 and a daughter Helen died in infancy. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Congregational church in Baraboo with the Rev. Mr. Kaufman officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Hill cemetery there. Friends may call at the Sheible funeral home in Baraboo from 1 p.m. Monday until time of services. Masonic rites will be held. the Soman funeral chapels had charge of local arrangements.
