Baraboo Republic January 5, 1870 King Solomon King was born in Ohio in 1818 and died in Sumpter, Sauk county, Wis, December 5th, 1870 He had been a number of years one of the most consistent and godly members of the Methodist Episcopal Church . His death was most triumphant and peaceful. A few moments before his departure he indicated that he saw bright angels coming to waft him home. He leaves a faithful companion who expects in due time to be gathered with him above. And also is represented by two sons, on whom we trust his mantle will fall. --W.W.
