Briggsville 1937 Mrs. Wm. C. Kimball The whole community was saddened by the death if Mrs. WM. C. Kimball, which occurred Wednesday morning Sept 25, at the family home. She had been in poor health for a year, but only for the past seven weeks had her condition become serious. The funeral was held on Saturday Sept. 28, at the home. Rev. Emanuel Harris, La Crosse officiating. Mr. Fred Ingle, Portage, sang " My Faith Looks Up To Thee" and " The Old Rugged Cross", very ably. She leaves to mourn her husband and companion of fifty-one years; four children, Robert of Wisconsin Dells, Archie of Madison, Leona Saltwick who with her family have been with her parents a year and Dorothy Edwards of Cincinnati, who recently spent two weeks with her sick mother. Two children Chester and Edna died several years ago. She left a host of close relatives and friends who will miss her presence greatly. She was a member if the M.E. Church, the Rebekah Lodge, The American Legion Auxillary and the P.T.A. Mrs. Kimball was always active in all village affairs also. Those from away attending the funeral were, Mrs. Chas. Champeny, a sister from Oxford, Kansas; Arthur Champney and Viva Gardner niece and nephew of St. Paul; Enid Heberlein of Marinette; Harold Heberlein of Madison; and a number from neighboring towns.
