Baraboo News Republic 3 August, 2000, page 2A ROGER S. HOWARD BARABOO - Roger S. Howard of Baraboo passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2000 at his home at the age of 91. Roger was born on Dec. 10, 1908 in Baraboo to George and Clara Howard. He was a veteran of WW II, having served in France and North Africa. He worked at the Badger Army Ammunition Plant during the Korean conflict and after that as a electrician in Madison until he retired in 1972. Roger was a member of the DAV. Roger is survived by: four sons, Lanny (Sharyn) Howard, New London, Sammy (Mary) Howard, Baraboo, Douglas Howard, Mankato, Minnesota; Ronald Howard, Baraboo; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, George Howard, McFarland; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Roger was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Vivian; one brother, Phillip, and one grandson. A private family service will be held at a later time.
