Adams County Times and Friendship Reporter Wednesday, 13 October 1982, Section A, page 12 OBITUARY Wilbur Cleveland Wilbur H. Cleveland, 67, of Adams, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Adams County Memorial Hospital Friday, Oct. 8, following an apparent heart attack. Mr. Cleveland was born Oct. 16, 1914 at Baraboo, Wisconsin, the son of Lee and Martha Cleveland. He married Enga Lee Nov. 22, 1936 at Freeport, Ill. Wilbur was a locomotive engineer on the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad. They had moved to Adams in 1967. He was a Shriner in the Baraboo lodge, an Eastern Star member and belonged to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. He was very fond of the out-of-doors and loved to hunt and tend to his garden. He is survived by his wife, Enga, Adams; a son, James, Baraboo; a daughter, Martha Carignan, Milwaukee, his step-mother, Mamie Cleveland, Baraboo; a brother, Walter, Sheboygan; a half-brother, Donald Cleveland, Janesville; a step-brother, Bill Bothell, Baraboo; a sister, Gladys Frazer, Baraboo; a half-sister, Joyce Darrow, Wisconsin Dells. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, as well as additional relatives and friends and fellow railroad workers. Wilbur was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine. Interment was in the Walnut Hill Cemetery, Baraboo. Paullbearers were Putz Griese, Bill Smock, Frank Weber, Dick Patskowski, Al Grunwald, and Doc (Glenn) Smedby. Funeral services for Mr. Cleveland were held Monday, Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. at the Roseberry Funeral Home in Friendship with the Rev. Glen A. Dunn officating. Contributed by Vicki Pierce
