1883 Beloit - cyclone [photo essay at the Beloit Historical Society]
1908 - June 30 Evansville & Edgerton hit hardest by tornado; damage estimated at $50,000
1911 - Nov. 11
The infamous "11-11-11" tornado (an F4); touched down near Brodhead, moved eastward into Rock County; hit Milton (destroyed Milton Gas Works), Orfordville, Janesville and Hanover; 9 dead 
1931 Sept. 21 - tornado through Rock and Jefferson Counties; Hugh A. WHITFORD, a farmer who resided two miles north of Milton Junction, is killed; 265 families are affected and damage was estimated at $500,000
1934 June 20 - cyclone hits the Evansville area
1955 May 28 - tornado hits Janesville.
1965 April 11 (Palm Sunday) - tornado hits Monroe in Green County and northern Rock County
1967 Jan. 24 - tornado destroys part of the Janesville Country Club
1979 June 9 - tornado hits Monroe in Green County and Evansville and Edgerton areas in Rock County
