"Mrs. Emma Wenzel, 89, Waubeka, died Thursday evening at the Becker Nursing Home, Port Washington. She suffered a stroke last Easter. The former Emma Oehme, she was born May 9, 1869, and had made her home in Town Fredonia since her marriageto Reinhold Wenzel at Saukville, May 10, 1891. Her husband died April 18, 1947. Survivorsare three daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Clara) Laubenstein, Fredonia; Mrs. Hilda Stecker,Milwaukee and Mrs. Martha Roell, Waubeka, two sons, Herbert of Milwaukee, Hugo ofSioux Falls, S.D. and a brother Robert of Fredonia. Services were held at 2 p.m.Sunday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fredonia. The Rev. R.J. Jagow officiated andburial was made in the church cemetery."
