Domonic Huiras, 87, of Saukville, a former resident of the Fredonia area, died Saturday at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home, where he had been living for the past year.

Mr. Huiras was born in the Town of Fredonia Jan. 20, 1874, the son of George Huiras and Johanna Allarding. On Jan. 14, 1902, he was married to Anna Miller at St. Mary's Church, Random Lake.

For many years he was engaged in that area as a cheesemaker. His wife preceded him in death in September, 1946.

He was a member of the Holy Name Society of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Saukville.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. William (Viola) Schmit, Saukville; two sons, Lawrence, Stockton, Calif., and Clarence Huiras, Sheboygan Falls; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and a brother, George, Fredonia.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Immaculate Conception Church, Saukville, the Rev. Andrew Redig officiating at the requiem Mass. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
