DEATH OF FORMER RESIDENT

 
News was received Friday morning that Mrs. Elizabeth Glassburn nee Libbie Sizer had passed to her reward at nine o’clock at the home of her step-daughter, Mrs. M.H. Dierks, at Ewing , Nebraska.  Her death was due to a stroke.
She was born November 8, 1855 in the town of Farmington, Washington County and died March 8, 1929 at the age of 73 and 4 months.  She was the eldest daughter of Julius and Ruth Sizer of the town of Saukville .  The greater part of her marriage, was spent in her hometown where she was a teacher in the county schools.
She was married Aug.4, 1892 at Neleigh, Neb. to L.P. Glassburn, who preceded her in death 19 years ago.
She was a faithful member of the Methodist Church , being very active in the Sunday School. She was a member of the Eastern Star.
She leaves 4 sisters, Clara, Mrs. W.B. Peffer of Ridgefield , Was; Lois, Mrs. J.F. Maechtle of Cedarburg , Wis ; Laura, Mrs. W.C. large of Port Washington; Alice, Mrs. James Pier of Burlington, Mich, also 5 stepchildren and a number of grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
