Mrs. William Blumenberg Passes Away at Milwaukee

Has Lived in Port Washington AllHer Life;
Leaves Eight Children, Four Sisters, and Six Brothers


Mrs. William Blumenberg, Sr., a native of Port Washington, passed away at 9:30 o'clocklast Saturday morning, January 22, at the Deaconess hospital at Milwaukee, whereshe had undergone an operation nine days previously.

Ida Wilhelmina Keller was born in Port Washington on November 28, 1873, and was 53years, 1 month, and 27 days old at the time of her death.

She was married on December 21, 1892 to William Blumenberg, who survives her. Ninechildren were born to this union, one of whom died in infancy. The children includefive sons, William, Henry, Fred, Otto and Walter, and three daughters, Mrs. JacobDahm (Helene), Mrs. Leonard Heldger (Florence), and Edna. The child who died ininfancy was a twin sister to Fred. Eight grandchildren are also counted among thesurvivors.

Four sisters and six brothers also remain. They are Mrs. Emma Musey, of Milwaukee;Herman, also of Milwaukee; Mrs. Ely Winters, of West Allis; Mrs. Ed Wearn and Mrs.John Wilhelm, of Highland park, Illinois; Ed of Fredonia; and George, Henry, John,and Jacob, of Port Washington.

The funeral is being held today (Wednesday) from the house at 1:30 o'clock and atthe Friedens Evangelical church at 2 o'clock. The Rev. F. Lefkovics has charge oftheservices. Interment was made in the local cemetery.

Mrs. Blumenberg was a member of the Ladies Aid Society of that church and the membersof the society attended the funeral in a body.
