Joel Bartels

Joel Bartels, 14-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bartels, 742 Larabee St., Port Washington, died this morning at Milwaukee Children's Hospital after an illness of several days.

Joel was born in Port Washington on Feb. 2, 1969.

Survivors are his parents Donald and Linda (Kartheiser) Bartels; one sister, Kerry, at home; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Kartheiser, Port Washington; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bartels, Stephenson, Mich.; great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Nic Kartheiser, Port Washington, Mrs. Minette Mueller, Port Washington, Mrs. Gladys Bartels, Chicago, and Mrs. Helen Gilbert, Menominee, Mich.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Roger Boesch, associate pastor, celebrant of the Mass. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Poole Funeral Home starting at 5 p.m. Friday.
