Mrs. Johanna Arndt


Mrs. Johanna Helen ARNDT, beloved wife of Mr. Julius ARNDT, died at her home in this city on Sunday evening at 6:30 o'clock after a four weeks illness. She had been sick in bed for three weeks with erysipelas and Sunday suffered a stroke which resulted in her death.

Deceased was a woman of fine character, a true and loving wife and mother, loved and esteemed by all her neighbors and friends. She was 55 years of age, and was born in Cedarburg Nov. 14, 1871. She attended school here and was married to Mr. Julius ARNDT on May 24, 1894. She was a faithful member of Immanuel's church, and was a member of the Ladies Aid Choir and Mission Society of that congregation. She leaves her husband, two sons, Elmer and Clarence, one daughter, Alice, her mother, Mrs. ASCHE, one brother, Fred ASCHE, and two sisters, Mrs. Anna HOFFMANN of Milwaukee and Mrs. Adela KASTEN of Cedarburg. The funeral was held this afternoon at two o'clock from the residence on Sheboygan street to Immanuel church with interment at Immanual cemetery. Rev. W. H. BEHRENS conducted the last sad rites.
