Weber-Schmit

Tuesday morning April 18, at nine o'clockMiss Catherine Weber and William Schmit were united in holy matrimony at St. Nicholaschurch, the Rev. Pastor E. J. Beck reading the marital rites. The bride was givenaway by her father. She was most charmingly attired in a dress of white satin andlace and long trained veil arranged in can style and held in place with a chapletof orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of Easter lillies and fern. To match hercostume, she wore whiite silk slippers and silk stockings. In attendance were MissMartha Straus as maid of honor and Miss Viola Straus as bridesmaid. The former worea frock of peach color crepe de chine with white moline puffs, peach color head band,white silk slippers and white silk stockings. She carried a bouquet of red snapdragonsand fern.

The latter was dressed in a similar frock of blue crepe de chine with white molinepuffs, blue head band, white silk slippers and white silk stockings. She carrieda bouquet of yellow snapdragons and fern. Edward Weber acted as best man and MatthewWeber and Al. Croatt were ushers.

The nuptual ceremony was followed by the wedding mass. Mrs. John Tackes first soprano,and Miss Emma Mueller, first alto sang the Ave Maria for offertory and a beautifulvocal performance.

At the close of the church service, the bride and groom and attendants, relativesand friends all gathered at the home of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. John Weberof Orchard Hill one and a half miles south of Dacada where a reception was held andpresents were given to the young couple. At 12 o'clock noon the guests were treatedto sumptuous eats likewise in the evening. Waiting at the table were: Misses Ednaand Rose Croatt, Emma Mueller, Marie DePlesse, Sylvia Wetor and Viola and Leona Jacoby.All enjoyed the guitar music by Mr. Croatt and singers in the afternoon.

Among the guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Robert Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Davies, Mr.and Mrs. Matt. Weber, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Rieth, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Kurth, Mrs. Anna Reiter,Mr. and Mrs. Ben Curson and children, Marliss Ann and Benny, Miss Susanne, Ed andJohn Schmit of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Thill, Mr. and Mrs. Al Antoine, Mr.and Mrs. Lawrence Straus and daughters, Viola, Martha, Marie and son Raymond, Mr.and Mrs. Al Croatt, son Bobbie and daughters Elaine and Harriet, Mr. and Mrs. PeterSchmit and sons Clifford, Eugene and Wilfred and daughters, Marie and Therese, MissesEdna and Rose Croatt of Belgium; Mr. and Mrs. John Paulus, son Junior and daughterEvelyn, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Roelse and children, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Schmit, Mr. andMrs. Frank Schmit, Peter Schmit and Dominic Schmit of Port Washington; Mr. and Mrs.Matt Feldkamp, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell and children, Edna and Rita, Mr. and Mrs. Bakerand son, Donald, Mr. and Mrs. Jac Munes of Kaukauna; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Weber ofRandom Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Theusch and daugther Marian of Kewaskum; Mr. and Mrs.John Schmit of Chicago. In the evening the wedding festivities were carried on witha dance in Conrady's hall, where a host of new guests attended. Eddie's Blue Moundsfurnished the music. The Blue Mounds are popular with dancing crowds because of theirdelightful performance. All had a good time and with best wishes for the young couplethey departed for their homes in the wee morning hours.

Mr. and Mrs. William Schmit left for a honeymoon trip.
