Line 17 states: Dorothy widow of Kerner, FredrikC. ,Company K, 16 Wisconsin Regiment.   Date of enlistment : September1861 no date of discharge given.  He died on 31 Jul 1862 at a Military Hospitalin Saint Louis City, Saint Louis Co., Missouri. (Information From Ozaukee County'sWar History by Daniel E. "Fred C. Kerner, of Port Ulao, the man who had lain sick in the camp duringthe battle of Shiloh, was relieved from pain by death in a hospital at St. Louis,Mo., July 31.")
