October 22, 2000 draft

Yvonne is currently working on the second transcription draft of her 2x great
grandfather Hinsdale T. Shepard's diary which was found among his daughters'
(Hattie Thornburgh & Blanche Smith) papers after their deaths.  She hopes to
cite as much information as possible about the people he traveled with and
visited in the five months it took to get from Fond du Lac to Yreka, CA.
Shepard and his wife Roxey Griswold and children lived some 20 years in Yreka
where he had an ironworks foundry.  They moved to Santa Barbara, CA. in 1874
where most of his descendants still live, including Yvonne herself.  If
anyone has any information about the following people, contact Yvonne and she
will exchange with you what she has.
