Served in Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania, 2 years, 2 months and 16 days -
in the Army of the Shenandoah under Gen Banks; the Army of Virginia under
Gen Pope; the Army of the Potomac under Generals McClellan, Burnside,
Hooker and Meade, also under Gen Canby in New York City during the draft riots of August 1863. |
