Historical Company, Chicago, 1880, page 950 DAVID BACK is the son of Peter and Willina BACK, and was born in Prussia, Oct. 2, 1852; came to America with his parents, and direct to Barry, Dane Co., Wis., about twenty-six years ago; for about twenty-two years, was settled on a farm; in 1876, he removed to Madison, Wis., and, in 1878, he began his present business. July 6, 1873, Mr. B. was married to Miss Christina VON HATTEN, who was born in Pennsylvania Aug. 1, 1854 . Mr. and Mrs. B. have had four children, of whom but one is now living, viz., Flora, who was born July 4, 1875; they belong to the German Catholic Church.
