OLIVER NELSON
On Friday morning October 18th Oliver Nelson passed away at his home at the age of 33 years, 11 months and 11 days.
After 4 days of illness due to Spanish influenza his soul passed to its home beyond..
Oliver Nelson was born in Clark County Wisconsin, November 7th 1884. In 1908 he was united in marriage to Anna Hiemes of Colby Wisconsin, where they lived until 1910, when they moved to Ryder, N. Dakota and after remaining there for about two years, they took up a homestead near Tuttle, N. Dak., where they lived until his death..
He leaves to mourn his death his wife and child Vernon Oliver, father and mother who live at Barron, Wisconsin, three sisters, Mrs. Isabel Shultz of Abbotsford, Mrs. Clara Tischendorf of Dorchester and Miss Stella Nelson who is attending school at Appleton and two brothers, Albert of Abbotsford and Isaac who is with the colors in France..
The funeral services were held at the home October 22, Rev. Father Galvin officiating..
His remains were laid to rest near Tuttle. All those who knew Oliver Nelson found him to be a kind husband and father, and a true neightbor..
The relatives present were his father of Barron, Wisconsin, brother Albert of Abbotsford, brother-in-law Adam Hiemes of N. Dak., brother-in-law and sister-in-law Mr.and Mrs. Bondow of Edgar. nephew Alois Hoffman of Woodworth, N. Dak., Clara Iverson of Wing, North Dakota.
