IRVINE (Rep.) was born in Maryland, March 18th, 1851; camewith his parents to Wisconsin in 1852, settling in Trempealeau county;received his education in the common schools; ;removed to Clark countyin 1870, and began farming in 1873; represented his town on the countyboard for 16 years; was assessor for four years; appointed taxcommissioner for Eau Claire county for 1901; was elected member ofassembly in 1902, and re-elected in 1904. Was chosen sergeant-at-armsof the assembly at the session of 1907.
