What Can You Get For A Penny These Days?
How many
remember penny ice cream cones and penny pictures? The cones were bought
at
Poukey's
(George's father)
drugstore located at that time in the Zimmerman building. These
cones
were very good and not too small at that.
A photographer
came to town taking penny pictures. He took 6 pictures a little larger
than a
postage
stamp for a quarter. They turned out good and it was the fad for awhile
to exchange
these
pictures for those of your friends.
